Looking for something the kids can do this school holidays? Why not make it fun and educational?

In our next kids workshop at HCG, we’ll be making mini garden beds together, as well as planting their first crop. The kids will be able to take home their mini garden beds and learn how to grow their own food.

Food is basic to human life, and at Hope Community Garden we think it’s essential that we teach the next generation about healthy eating and growing our own wholesome food.

So join us this school holidays on Thursday October 5. RSVPs are essential! (RSVP here). All materials are provided, and we just ask for a $5 contribution on the day.

At the end of the workshop we’ll be providing a free BBQ, and there will be free coffee for the parents for the duration.

And please feel free to invite your friends!

About Us

In early 2015 we launched Hope Community Garden right here on our church grounds in Maroubra. It’s an exciting project to be a part of, and there’s plenty of opportunity and space for us to continue to expand what we’re doing!

The Hope Community Garden has been established to help people in the Maroubra area learn new skills related to growing organic, nutritious food; to provide ways for us to reconnect with the earth; and to share life with people in the wider community.

And you can get involved! Whether you want to find out how you can unplug yourself from industrialised and chemical-filled food systems, or just want a place to meet others in the community, Hope Community Garden is for you.

We run events and workshops all the time for people to come along to and get their hands dirty. Make sure to sign up to our mailing list to stay up to speed with what’s happening!
